Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who represents Virginia’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently made a series of announcements via social media concerning Medicare enrollment and legislative efforts related to financial security.

On November 20, 2024, Rep. Spanberger reminded her constituents about the ongoing Medicare Open Enrollment period, which is available through December 7. She advised individuals to “Visit https://t.co/N6TzCWGurk or call 1-800-MEDICARE to sign up, compare your options, and find the right plan for you.”

Later that day, Rep. Spanberger highlighted a significant legislative development with the introduction of her bipartisan China Financial Threat Mitigation Act in the Senate. The legislation had previously passed in the House of Representatives. In her announcement on social media, she stated: “Congress must do more to strengthen America’s response to emerging financial threats from the Chinese Communist Party.” She emphasized that this step is crucial for protecting U.S. economic interests.

Additionally, Rep. Spanberger expressed gratitude towards fellow legislators for their collaboration on national security matters. She thanked Virginian Senator Mark Warner along with Senators Mike Rounds and Cynthia Lummis for working together with herself and Representative Roger Williams in efforts aimed at safeguarding American financial and national security interests: “Thank you to fellow Virginian @MarkWarner, @SenatorRounds, and @SenLummis for working with @RepRWilliams and me to protect American financial and national security.”
