On Friday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m., Carson Estridge, a former Battlefield High School standout, pitched for the West Virginia Mountaineers as his team took a 7-6 defeat against the Baylor Bears in their NCAA Division I baseball encounter.
Baylor Ballpark hosted the contest, marking these teams’ first meeting of the season.
Estridge threw 2.1 innings, allowing one earned run and striking out two batters.
The Mountaineers are set to play Baylor again at Baylor Ballpark on Saturday, March 14.
