Former Battlefield High School standout Ryan Derderian helped his collegiate team, the Christopher Newport Captains, secure a 90-61 victory over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.

The tournament game tipped off at 5:45 p.m. at Freeman Center and marked the teams’ first meeting during this round.

The Christopher Newport Captains are set to play their next game Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. at Crenshaw Gymnasium.
