Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding school officials’ involvement in student healthcare decisions. In his post from August 20, 2025, Lovejoy stated: “School officials should not be arranging abortions for their students (who are minors), and hiding it from parents. End of story. The following morning, on August 21, 2025, Lovejoy reiterated his stance on education quality across Virginia: “Every student in the Commonwealth deserves a top-notch education. I’m committed to making that happen.”
