On May 2, 2025, Lovejoy expressed his dedication to serving the people of HD22 by highlighting his focus on supporting small businesses, preventing reckless data center expansions, and advocating for educators and families. He asserted, “I’m proud to represent the hardworking people of HD22! Whether it’s fighting for small businesses, putting a stop to reckless data center expansion, or supporting educators and families – I’m here to serve!”
Later the same day, Lovejoy addressed a violent occurrence at Wallens Ridge State Prison involving the stabbing of three corrections officers. He stated, “The stabbing of three corrections officers today reminds us of the danger the thin blue line puts themselves in everyday and I am praying for their recovery. The MS-13 thugs who did this should never have.”
