Prince William County is offering a variety of activities and events throughout May, catering to families and individuals seeking recreation, fitness, and educational opportunities. A notable event this month is the Touch-A-Truck event happening on May 3 at Veterans Memorial Park and Community Center. This free event allows children to explore various vehicles like fire trucks and police cars, providing them with the opportunity to meet the operators.
Historical tours are also available, including behind-the-scenes tours at Rippon Lodge Historic Site on May 3 and at Brentsville’s Williams-Dawe House on May 17. Additionally, the Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park will offer free tours on selected dates, allowing participants to learn about historical battles and the area’s significance during the Civil War.

Music enthusiasts can attend an interactive jazz session with the Manassas Jazz Society on May 17, offering musicians a chance to perform and learn about different jazz genres. For history buffs, a free lecture discussing iconic Virginians, hosted by journalist Joe Motheral, will be held on May 22 at Occoquan Town Hall.
