Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced new appointments to several state boards in Virginia. The selections span multiple sectors, including agriculture, health, labor, natural resources, public safety, and veterans affairs.

Among the agricultural boards receiving new members are the Sheep Industry Board and the Virginia Spirits Board. In addition, appointments have been made to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority.

In the area of commonwealth initiatives, new appointees will join the Virginia African American Advisory Board.

The health and human resources sector sees appointments to the Board of Social Work, State Board of Social Services, and the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities.

For labor-related boards, new members have been named to both the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology and the Virginia Board of Workforce Development.

Natural and historic resources are represented through appointments to the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Outdoors Foundation.

Public safety and homeland security will be supported by new members on several panels: 9-1-1 Services Board, Criminal Justice Services Board, Forensic Science Board, and Secure and Resilient Commonwealth Panel.

In veterans and defense affairs, appointments were made to the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations.
