Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced a series of board appointments across various sectors in Virginia. The new appointees will serve on boards related to agriculture, commerce, education, finance, health and human resources, labor, natural resources, public safety, transportation, and veterans affairs.
The Agriculture and Forestry sector includes appointments to the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In Commerce and Trade, positions have been filled on the Broadband Advisory Council and the Coal Surface Mining Reclamation Fund Advisory Board.
In Education, appointments were made to several boards including the Board of Education and the Board of Trustees for both the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
Health and Human Resources see new members on boards such as the State Board of Health and the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities. Labor-related appointments include roles on councils like the Apprenticeship Council.
The Natural Resources sector includes appointees to bodies such as the Cave Board. Public Safety has seen additions to committees including those addressing sexual and domestic violence.
Transportation board appointments feature roles within organizations like the Virginia Aviation Board. Finally, in Veterans Affairs, new trustees have been appointed to the Veterans Services Foundation Board.
