Governor Youngkin announces new board appointments across multiple sectors

Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced a new round of appointments to several state boards in Virginia. The appointments cover a range of sectors, including administration, agriculture and forestry, commerce and trade, education, health and human resources, and public safety.

In the field of administration, appointments were made to the Virginia Geographic Information Network Advisory Board. For agriculture and forestry, new members have joined the Potato Board.

Within commerce and trade, appointees will serve on both the Clean Energy Advisory Board and the Virginia Innovation Partnership Authority. In education, there are new members for the Board of Regents of Gunston Hall as well as the Board of Trustees of the Roanoke Higher Education Authority.

The health and human resources sector saw appointments to the Virginia Forensic Nursing Advisory Council. Additionally, in public safety and homeland defense, individuals were named to serve on the Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Prevention.

These appointments reflect Governor Youngkin’s ongoing efforts to staff key advisory bodies across multiple areas of state government.
