Ian T. Lovejoy, a Republican elected to the Virginia State House in 2024 to represent the state’s 22nd House district, shared several messages on his Twitter account on May 4 and May 5, 2026.

On May 4, Lovejoy posted a message that read: “May the Fourth be with you. And also happy 2nd birthday to this guy! https://t.co/BGtzrJTaZz” (posted on May 4, 2026). Later that day, he followed up with another tweet stating: “Seems obvious. https://t.co/w0gN3jHDGK” (posted on May 4, 2026).

On May 5, Lovejoy acknowledged Cinco de Mayo with a post saying: “Happy Cinco de Mayo! Maybe. If that’s ok. I don’t know anymore.” (posted on May 5, 2026).

Lovejoy succeeded Kathy Byron as representative of Virginia’s 22nd House district following his election in November 2024.
