Jakob Foster helps lead Mount St. Mary’s to 9-2 victory over Iona Gaels

On Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m., Jakob Foster, a former standout at Patriot High School, contributed to the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers’ 9-2 win over the Iona Gaels in NCAA Division I baseball play.

The matchup at E. T. Straw Family Stadium marked the teams’ second game of the series. The Mountaineers were narrowly defeated 3-2 by the Gaels the day before, Friday, March 6.

Foster pitched 2.2 innings and allowed one earned run while striking out two batters.

The Mountaineers are set to play their next contest against Iona Gaels at E. T. Straw Family Stadium at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
