Lake Ridge Park Marina announced on Apr. 8 that visitors can now reserve boats online before arriving at the marina. The new system allows guests to check availability and book jon boats, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, or stand up paddleboards up to two days in advance or as little as one hour before arrival.
The move is intended to make visits more convenient by reducing wait times and streamlining the rental process. When guests arrive at the marina after making an online reservation, they can check in at the window and receive their life jackets and rented boats.
According to the announcement, “No more waiting in line at Lake Ridge Marina! You can now see what’s available and reserve your jon boat, canoe, kayak, pedal boat or stand up paddleboard in advance through our new online reservation system.” The statement also notes that “With the new system you’re able to reserve up to two days in advance to one hour prior to the time you plan to arrive. When you get to the marina you can just check in at the window, get your life jacket(s) and boats are ready to go!” It further clarifies that “Please note online paddleboard reservations begin May 23.”
The marina offers three-season boat rentals with a universal access launch and dock. Canoes, pedal boats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards (SUP), and jon boats are available for rent. All rentals include personal flotation devices (PFDs) and required safety equipment. The minimum age for renting most boat types is 16 years old; however, those aged 14 may rent pedal boats.
In addition to boating activities, Lake Ridge Park provides playground areas, horseshoe pits, nature trails as well as picnic tables and pavilions available for rent. Concessions offer drinks and snacks onsite.
Fishing is also available from both bank or boat—either rented or privately owned with a maximum of 9.9 horsepower—and bait is sold at the marina window. A valid fishing license is required for all anglers.
Visitors are encouraged by park officials: “Ready to get outside and explore our parks? Make sure you download our PWC RecMapper app before you head out.” This app helps users map routes within county parks and find amenities.
