On Friday, March 6, Madison McKenzie, a former standout at Gainesville High School, helped her current college team—Christopher Newport Captains—secure a 74-62 win over the Gettysburg Bullets in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The contest was held at Holekamp Gym at 5:30 p.m., marking the team’s first tournament matchup against Gettysburg.
Christopher Newport is scheduled to play its next tournament game on Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m. at Holekamp Gym.
