Led by former Patriot High School standout Kaden Bates, the Mary Washington Eagles defeated the Amherst Mammoths 81-64 on Saturday, March 7, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup was held at Ron Rosner Arena at 7:30 p.m. and marked the teams’ first encounter in the tournament.
Mary Washington is scheduled to play its next tournament game on Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m. at Ron Rosner Arena.
