The Mary Washington Eagles, led by former Battlefield High School standout Hasan Hammad, secured an 81-64 win over the Amherst Mammoths on Saturday, March 7, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
Ron Rosner Arena was the site of the 7:30 p.m. contest, marking the teams’ first meeting in this year’s tournament.
The Eagles will play their next tournament game at Ron Rosner Arena on Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m.
