On Saturday, March 14, Hasan Hammad, a former Battlefield High School standout, contributed to his current team, the Mary Washington Eagles, in their 73-68 victory over the UW La Crosse Eagles at the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
Ron Rosner Arena was the venue for the 6 p.m. contest, which marked the teams’ first meeting in the tournament.
The Mary Washington Eagles are scheduled to play again on Thursday, March 19, at 9 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
