The Occoquan Town Council and Planning Commission have scheduled a joint public hearing to discuss a proposed zoning text amendment. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 314 Mill Street in Occoquan, Virginia.

The purpose of the hearing is to consider establishing Special Use Permit requirements and standards for businesses related to tobacco, vape, cannabis, or psychoactive products within the town. The public is invited to attend and provide input on the draft ordinance under review.

According to the announcement: “This is a public hearing on a zoning text amendment to establish Special Use Permit requirements and standards for tobacco, vape, cannabis, or psychoactive establishment in the Town of Occoquan.”

The agenda includes opportunities for residents and stakeholders to view both the advertisement and the draft ordinance before the meeting.
