Couples in Prince William County will have the opportunity to participate in a special civil wedding event this winter. The Prince William County Circuit Court Clerk, Jacqueline C. Smith, is partnering with the Town of Occoquan to host the second annual “Seal the Deal” on December 12, 2025.

The event will take place at Madigan’s Waterfront, a venue and restaurant located on the Occoquan River. Couples can exchange vows in an intimate setting with views of historic streets and local storefronts.

According to organizers, “The Seal the Deal experience intends to be an afternoon of elegant courthouse-style ceremonies, giving couples a chance to celebrate their commitment in a way that feels personal and memorable.” The event aims to bring together couples and community members for a celebration focused on love and connection.

Visitors are also encouraged to explore local artisan shops and Mamie Davis Park while in town.

To participate or schedule a marriage license application and ceremony, couples should contact the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office at (703) 792-6036 or email [email protected].
