County of Prince William issued the following announcement on Dec. 4
Prince William County Historic Preservation unveiled their new hand-held computer tablets that allow visitors with disabilities to be able to view rooms and spaces they would not be able to access. The tablets are a part of Historic Preservation’s accessibility initiative.
The Virtual 360* Tour tablets will allow people who cannot access the upstairs spaces in various historic sites, to fully experience those spaces, with 360-degree views of varying images, videos, and narration of the rooms by Historic Preservation staff.
The Virtual 360* Tour tablets are available, at no additional fee, at the gift shops of Ben Lomond, Brentsville Courthouse, and Rippon Lodge historic sites. All gift shops are ADA accessible.
Prince William Historic Preservation serves as caretakers of County-owned historic structures, interiors, archaeological resources, natural resources, historic landscapes, artifacts, and collections.
