Prince William County has announced a countywide initiative to honor local veterans through a digital campaign called “One Community, Many Heroes.” The campaign invites residents to submit photographs of veterans in their lives, which will be featured in a digital Veterans Day showcase.

The digital gallery will include messages from the Prince William Board of County Supervisors expressing gratitude to those who have served. According to the county, this collective portrait aims to highlight service and appreciation across the community.

Residents can participate by visiting pwcworks.pwcva.gov/one-community-many-heroes to upload a photo. The campaign accepts digital images, scanned photos, or smartphone photos of printed pictures. Participants must provide their name, email address, and magisterial district. If the veteran being honored did not live in Prince William County, submitters should select their own district.

There is no limit to the number of veterans honored, but a separate form is required for each submission. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. The digital gallery will debut on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, and will be shared on Prince William County’s official social media platforms.

For more information or to participate, residents are directed to visit pwcworks.pwcva.gov/one-community-many-heroes.
