Prince William County Republican Committee, a local GOP organization in Virginia, used its social media account on April 13, 2026 to share concerns about funding and polling related to the state’s political landscape.

In a post at 20:13 UTC, the committee stated, “Soros-backed group among liberal organizations pumping eye-popping cash into Virginia gerrymandering effort https://t.co/PB75shtUdK #FoxNews”. Later that evening, at 21:02 UTC, the account posted a series of alert emojis and a link: ” https://t.co/KIKA3SbRCE”. At 22:47 UTC on the same day, another message read: “Reports that Democrats are in panic mode – apparently their internal polling is not looking good! https://t.co/Y3xoPESbW6”.

Gerrymandering has been a contentious issue in Virginia for years. Nationally recognized donors and advocacy groups have played prominent roles in both supporting and opposing redistricting efforts. Allegations regarding outside influence in these processes often surface during election cycles as parties vie for advantage.
