Prince William County has announced that personal property and business tangible tax payments are due by Monday, October 6, 2025. Residents and businesses can view and pay their bills online at www.tax.pwcgov.org. Those who have not received a tax bill but believe they should have are encouraged to contact the Taxpayer Services Office at 703-792-6710 or by email.
Multiple payment options are available. Payments can be made online by electronic check at no cost or by credit card with a service fee. Phone payments are accepted at 888-272-9829 using jurisdiction code 1036, where a fee applies. Payments sent by mail should go to PO BOX 70519, Philadelphia, PA 19176-0519.
In-person payments can be made at the Development Services Building (DSB) located at 5 County Complex Court in Woodbridge, or at the Sudley North Government Center at 7987 Ashton Avenue in Manassas. The Tax Administration Office has moved from the James J. McCoart Building to the DSB.
Both offices operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. from October 1 to October 6, 2025 (Monday through Friday only). Saturday hours will also be available on October 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A service fee of 2.3% will apply for debit and credit card transactions made in person at both locations. To avoid this fee, residents may use cash, check, or certified funds as alternative payment methods.
A late payment penalty of 10% will be assessed on any unpaid tax balance after October 6, with interest accruing monthly at an annual rate of 10% until the balance is paid in full.
For further information or questions about tax payments, residents can contact the Taxpayer Services Office or visit pwcva.gov/tax.
