Captain Robert Dickinson has been promoted to Major and appointed as Director of Support Services at the Prince William–Manassas Adult Detention Center. With over two decades of experience at the facility, Major Dickinson has worked in various departments such as Security, Classification, Human Resources, Training, Work Release, Workforce, Intake, and Records. This background gives him broad operational and administrative expertise.

In his new position, Major Dickinson will oversee functions including transportation, intake, and records. He will also continue to serve as a general instructor in corrections training and maintain his responsibilities as Project Director for the Jail Mental Health Grant Program. The program aims to improve mental health services within the detention center.

The Prince William–Manassas Adult Detention Center acknowledged Major Dickinson’s promotion with a statement: “I am thankful for the promotion to Jail Major and excited to meet the challenges of the new role as Director of Support Services.”
