Prince William Public Libraries has released its Spring 2026 Explore magazine, now available at all library branches and online at pwcva.gov/department/library/explore-magazine. The publication features program highlights, information about National Library Week 2026, Volunteer Appreciation Month in April, and details on a new grant-funded initiative focused on protecting bird flight paths.
Among the programs highlighted is the Pokémon Club, which continues this spring at Bull Run and Haymarket Gainesville Libraries. The Haymarket Gainesville Library recently shared an unboxing video featuring items received from Pokémon International and the Association for Library Service to Children.
Craft enthusiasts can participate in “March Down the Aisle” workshops at Bull Run and Central Libraries. These sessions include activities such as making Wedding Party Tote Bags with a Cricut machine and learning about floral arrangements.
Nature-themed events are also scheduled throughout March. On Saturday, March 7, adults can attend “Garden Talk–For the Birds” at Haymarket Gainesville Library. The Virginia Bluebird Society will present ways to create bird-friendly gardens and attract bluebirds. Attendees can stay after for a discussion of the short film “Wild Hope: Building for Birds.”
For younger children, Leesylvania State Park rangers will lead “Little Rangers” at Dumfries Library on Wednesday, March 11. This program offers nature exploration through reading, games, and crafts for ages 3 to 6.
Families are invited to “Chick Eggstravaganza” in Manassas City on Saturday, March 14. The event includes a chicken-themed story time, hands-on activities for kids, and treats to take home.
