The Prince William County Republican Committee (PWCGOP) posted a series of statements on its official Twitter account on July 21, 2025, addressing local political developments and the passing of a county supervisor.

In an early morning post, PWCGOP commented on apparent tensions involving Delegate Candi Mundon King. The tweet stated: “No idea what is going on, but our very own Prince William County Delegate @CandiMundonKing is very upset. No comment on the family disagreement, but perhaps ‘granny’ @SenLouiseLucas can get involved and calm the situation down?” (July 21, 2025).

Later that morning, PWCGOP addressed Mundon King directly in another post: “.@CandiMundonKing stop picking on @BradleyRHaywood

‘I am SO not a victim. I understand how privileged I am, which is a reason I’ve devoted my career to equal justice, social justice & racial justice.’

We will have to check VPAP next month and see if Brad sends Candi a check?” (July 21, 2025).

In a separate announcement later that day, PWCGOP confirmed the death of Bob Weir: “‘It is with deep regret that the Prince William County Republican Committee confirms the sad news that Prince William County Supervisor for Gainesville, Bob Weir, has passed away…. ‘

Prince William County is located in Northern Virginia and includes several elected officials representing both state and local offices. The referenced individuals—Delegate Candi Mundon King and Senator Louise Lucas—are members of Virginia’s General Assembly. VPAP refers to the Virginia Public Access Project, which tracks campaign finance disclosures in the state.

Bob Weir served as Supervisor for Gainesville District within Prince William County until his reported passing.
