Prince William County Republican Committee (PWCGOP) posted a series of tweets on October 9, 2025, alleging violent statements attributed to Jay Jones and questioning the support he receives from various individuals and organizations.

In a tweet posted at 00:28 UTC, PWCGOP stated, “Jay Jones fantasized about shooting Todd Gilbert twice in the head, choosing to execute him over Hitler and Pol Pot. Then he called Gilbert’s young children ‘little fascists’ who should be killed — in their weeping mother’s arms. But @MomsDemand supports @jonesjay 100% (?) https://t.co/3IEwmsmX1s”.

Ten minutes later, at 00:38 UTC, PWCGOP reiterated the same allegations, adding the names of individuals purportedly supporting Jones: “Jay Jones fantasized about shooting Todd Gilbert twice in the head, choosing to execute him over Hitler and Pol Pot. Then he called Gilbert’s young children ‘little fascists’ who should be killed — in their weeping mother’s arms. George, Josh and Lizzie support @jonesjay 100% https://t.co/zJVsOPr3in”.

A third tweet posted at 03:19 UTC was a reply by PWCGOP that included only a link: “Replying to @PWCGOP https://t.co/lpPVPzu0Bz”.

PWCGOP, the official Republican committee for Prince William County, Virginia, regularly uses its social media platform to comment on local and state political issues and candidates. The tweets referenced here make serious allegations against Jay Jones, a political figure in Virginia who has previously served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Todd Gilbert is also a known figure in Virginia politics, serving as Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates. The organization Moms Demand Action (@MomsDemand) is an advocacy group focused on gun control measures.

No independent verification or context regarding the source or authenticity of the statements attributed to Jay Jones was provided in these posts.
