PWCGOP, the official account for the Prince William County Republican Committee, posted a series of tweets between December 21 and December 22, 2025, covering topics ranging from political commentary to local taxation.

On December 21, PWCGOP shared a statement attributed to Steven Cheung, the White House communications director: “Slick Willy! Bill Clinton just chillin, without a care in the world. Little did he know…”

The following day, PWCGOP highlighted a local tax measure with this tweet dated December 22: “Effective July 1, 2022, Prince William County began levying a tax on the purchase of all prepared food and beverages. The Food and Beverage Tax is 4% of the total cost of food and beverages sold by restaurants..” This refers to a policy enacted in mid-2022 that introduced a new levy on restaurant meals within Prince William County.

Later on December 22, PWCGOP addressed Virginia State Senator Louise Lucas in another post: “.@SenLouiseLucas along with 1.8 million additional Democrats voted for a man who fantasizes about kiIIing an opponent’s children.”

Prince William County’s Food and Beverage Tax was implemented as part of broader efforts by local governments in Virginia to diversify revenue streams beyond property taxes. The tax applies to purchases at restaurants and similar establishments at a rate of four percent.

PWCGOP serves as the county-level affiliate of the Republican Party in Prince William County, Virginia.
