PWCGOP, the official account of the Prince William County Republican Committee in Virginia, posted a series of tweets on August 29 and 30, 2025, addressing political figures and state policy issues.

On August 29, PWCGOP commented on an individual referred to as “sleepy-Jay,” stating: “Further evidence that sleepy-Jay is nocturnal.”

Later that day, the account criticized Abigail Spanberger’s initial actions as governor. PWCGOP wrote: “In her very first act as governor, Abigail Spanberger promises to turn Virginia into a sanctuary state for dangerous illegal immigrants. And crazy Lizzie supports Deep State Abby 100% of the time.” This tweet referenced both Governor Abigail Spanberger and another political figure identified as “Lizzie.”

A subsequent post on August 30 was a reply to an earlier tweet by PWCGOP: “Replying to @PWCGOP”.

Abigail Spanberger began serving as Governor of Virginia in January 2025 after previously representing Virginia’s 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. The issue of sanctuary policies has been a point of contention in Virginia politics, with debates over local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities often drawing sharp partisan divides.
