Prince William County Republican Committee (PWCGOP) posted a series of tweets on July 25, 2025, addressing local political figures and calling for Republican participation in the upcoming general election.
In one tweet, PWCGOP stated on July 25, 2025: “Haroon Sheikh is to be the brother-in-law of Raheel Sheikh, who represents the Occoquan District on the Prince William County Planning Commission and was a former Democratic candidate for the Coles District seat on the Board of County Supervisors….”
Later that day, PWCGOP posted another message directed at Senator Mark Warner and Delegate Danica Roem. The tweet from July 25, 2025 reads: “What does @MarkWarner know? Cc @pwcdanica https://t.co/p6T2no8lef”
The committee also issued a call for Republican election officers. On July 25, 2025, they tweeted: “The Prince William County Office of Elections Is Looking for Republicans to Become Election Officers. The deadline to apply and be eligible to serve in the November 4, 2025 General Election is TODAY Friday, July 25th.”
Raheel Sheikh serves as a member of the Prince William County Planning Commission representing the Occoquan District and has previously run as a Democratic candidate for the Coles District seat on the Board of County Supervisors.
