PWCGOP, an account representing the Prince William County Republican Committee, posted a series of tweets in mid-July 2025 focusing on local political figures and campaign financing in Virginia.
On July 16, PWCGOP addressed Suhas Subramanyam, a member of the Congressional Education Committee, clarifying district boundaries and referencing another politician. The tweet stated: “.@SuhasforVA (member of the Congressional ‘Education’ committee), the Quartz District is in Prince William County (on the eastern side/very close to the Potomac), and in the 7th Congressional District. Confirm with @guzman4virginia, until recently she lived in Dale City.”
The following day, on July 17, PWCGOP questioned Senator Ghazala Hashmi’s willingness to participate in debates during an election cycle. The tweet read: “Ghazala? Hello? No debates? Seriously? Come on @SenatorHashmi accept @JohnReid4VA’s offer to debate! Who said: Birthing ‘people’ instead of Mothers? @90For90 #HIDINHASHMI”
Later that same day, PWCGOP highlighted political donations made by Sonjia Smith and referenced public records regarding campaign contributions. The tweet stated: “Follow the money: Who is Sonjia Smith (Mrs. Michael Bills)? $11.323M to fund crazy Marxist candidates and organizations in VA over the years. And a mere $155,000 for Danica’s lunch buddy ‘sleepy’ @VA_JET. VPAP:”
Prince William County is located in Northern Virginia along the Potomac River and has been a focal point for both state and federal electoral campaigns due to its diverse population and shifting political landscape.
Sonjia Smith is known as a significant donor to Democratic causes within Virginia politics, contributing millions over several years according to public campaign finance records.
Senator Ghazala Hashmi represents parts of Central Virginia in the State Senate and has previously participated in debates during past election cycles.
