The Circuit Court Clerk’s 4th Annual Valentine’s Day Wedding Bash Recap

On Valentine’s Day, Clerk of Circuit Court Jacqueline Smith officiated the weddings of thirty-one happy couples in the City of Manassas.  This was the fourth annual Clerk’s Wedding Bash held by Smith who was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court in 2017.

“We started celebrating weddings at the courthouse five years ago to provide a service to our taxpayers and it quickly became the highlight of our week,” Smith says, “Our first Valentine’s Day, we decided to see if there would be interest in a full-day celebration of weddings and four years later we’ve been able to get the whole community involved”.

Twenty-six local business partners also pitched in to make the wedding day special. Three Monkeys Pub and Chophouse, which is situated in a 146-year-old former church, graciously hosted the event and The Flower Gallery of Manassas and Flowers with Passion donated bouquets and boutonnieres for the couples. Weinegar’s Sweets and Treats donated individual wedding cakes for each couple.  Other sponsors generously donated goods, services and gift certificates for each couple.
