Much of the electricity we use is generated by burning natural gas. Because the cost of natural gas has increased significantly over the past several months, the power cost adjustment (PCA) on your electric bill will be increasing. The PCA is a separate line on the electric bill and is a direct cost. The City receives no revenue from the PCA charge. For each 1,000 kilowatts of electricity you use, your electric bill will increase by $8.25.
