“There is nothing more fulfilling than hearing a patient say ‘I’m glad I went to Sentara Leigh Hospital because the people are wonderful and the care is great.’” Meet Gary Nelson, a Patient Family Advisory Council Member at Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Patient Family Advisory Council members are volunteers who help our hospitals and patients on a leadership level. Gary talks to patients and families about their experiences and serves as a liaison between the patient and the hospital management teams.
