WOODBRIDGE, Va. — U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger last week hosted an open, public telephone town hall to discuss issues faced by Virginia families, seniors, and small businesses.

During the event, Spanberger and Seventh District residents discussed many topics and priorities — including protecting Social Security and Medicare from cuts, passing gun violence prevention legislation, and expanding opportunity for future generations of Virginians. Additionally, Spanberger delivered updates on her work to protect the right to choose, as well as her continued focus on combatting fentanyl trafficking and preventing overdoses.

“These town hall events give me the opportunity to hear directly from the Virginians I serve in a way that’s convenient for them. These conversations focus on issues of strengthening public safety, lowering costs, protecting our seniors, and growing our Commonwealth’s economy,” said Spanberger. “During Thursday night’s town hall, I appreciated yet another chance to engage on many of the issues that matter most to the Seventh District. Thursday’s event was Spanberger’s 48th open, public town hall event.
