Foxwell: Parrish Services has been offering '24/7, turnkey home repairs and service' for the past 27 years

Amanda Foxwell, general manager of Parrish Services, said the company provides services to homeowners in North Virginia and is proud to offer customers access to smart-home technology and energy-efficient options. They plan to keep this going and expand after being acquired by Ace Hardware in early August.

"Parrish Services is proud to provide Northern Virginia’s most discerning homeowners with 24/7, turnkey home repairs and service," Foxwell said. "Certified in three trades and factory-trained, our technicians can repair, install and maintain your home’s essential mechanical systems. Parrish offers annual maintenance memberships for all three trades as well as generators, gas logs, humidifiers and geothermal equipment. We also take a special interest in providing our customers with easy access to all the latest smart-home technology and energy-efficient options that the industry has to offer."

In 1996, founder Alan Givens established Parrish Services while operating as an HVAC technician from the basement of his home in Harpers Ferry, W.V. He demonstrated a strong commitment and consistently provided the high-quality service that has since defined the company's reputation. 

As the demand for his expertise increased, he subsequently broadened the company's scope by introducing both a plumbing division and an electrical division.

Foxwell became a part of the Parrish team in 2005, initially joining as a night/weekend customer service representative based on a recommendation from her friend's mother, who was the office manager at the time. For the next several years, she steadily advanced within the company, progressing from office manager to plumbing manager. 

Shortly after, she assumed responsibilities in the electrical division. Within a year, she ascended to the role of field manager. In 2019, she achieved her present position as general manager.

Clients of Parrish Services can benefit from the advanced technology employed for scheduling and communication, finding it to be a convenient and trouble-free solution for managing appointments. Because Parrish Services offers expertise across all three trades, customers benefit from having a centralized platform where they can access all their service records and efficiently coordinate multiple appointments, minimizing any disruptions to their schedules.

In essence, Parrish Services serves as a comprehensive one-stop destination for all their needs.

At the beginning of August, Parrish Services was acquired by Ace Hardware. Foxwell noted that, since they're continuously looking for new ways to better serve their customers, this new partnership will expand service even further by allowing access to Ace’s skill and scale on a wider assortment of products. 

This is a significant milestone for their company, and the alignment of values, purpose and vision shared between Parrish Services and Ace Hardware goes hand in hand.
