4.8% of citizens unemployed in Prince William County in 2021

Prince William County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 12,751 people out of the 477,224 living in Prince William County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Prince William County has decreased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Prince William County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 252,069 people who had a job during that time, 6,453 were employed in the Armed Forces and 245,616 belonged to the civilian labor force.
