There were 17,309 Black students enrolled in Prince William County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 2.1% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Prince William County Public Schools District welcomed 90,654 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 19.1% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Prince William County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Prince William County and has a main office in Manassas.

Among the 96 schools in Prince William County Public Schools District, Potomac High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
