Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia's 7th district since 2019, shared updates on her legislative activities and public service announcements through a series of tweets.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Spanberger announced that her bipartisan bill aimed at ensuring federal funds reach their intended recipients was recognized by the National Taxpayers Union (NTU). She emphasized the importance of Virginia taxpayers having confidence that their tax dollars are being used appropriately. " My bipartisan bill to make sure federal dollars reach the right recipients made it on @NTU’s “No Brainers” list of bills that Congress should pass! Virginia taxpayers deserve to trust that their tax dollars are going toward their intended purpose."

Later on the same day, she shared news about another piece of bipartisan legislation she sponsored. This bill seeks to name a post office in Fredericksburg after Gladys P. Todd, an influential educator and civil rights leader. The legislation successfully passed in the U.S. House of Representatives. "NEWS: My bipartisan legislation to name a Fredericksburg post office after Gladys P. Todd — an educator and leader in the local civil rights movement — JUST passed in the U.S. House! I’m proud to honor her inspiring legacy with this legislation."

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Spanberger reminded constituents about the ongoing open enrollment period for health insurance through the Marketplace, highlighting that December 15 is the deadline for coverage starting January 1, 2025.
