Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced that Technomics, Inc., a defense and technology consulting firm, will expand its operations in Arlington County. The company plans to invest $5,375,750 in the expansion, which includes adding 25,200 square feet of office space and creating 248 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with Washington, D.C. for this project.
Governor Youngkin stated, “The expansion of Technomics in Virginia marks a significant milestone not only for our local economy with 248 new jobs but also for the future of innovation and evidence-based decision-making.” He added that Technomics is contributing to smarter solutions across federal government clients.
Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura expressed support for the growth: “We’re proud to support this growth, which brings high-quality jobs to our community and reinforces our region as a hub for cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking enterprise.”
Technomics CEO Al Leung emphasized the company’s mission over the past 25 years: “For over 25 years, our mission has been to be great stewards of the taxpayers by using our analytical and quantitative skills to help our federal government clients spend their resources wisely.” He acknowledged the opportunities presented by the current efficiency-focused environment.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Arlington, Technomics provides data- and analytics-driven decision support services. The company has experienced consistent revenue growth over 25 years and expanded its Arlington facility three times since 2022.
Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis commented on Technomics’ continued expansion: “Technomics’ continued expansion in Arlington reinforces our commitment to being a hub for innovation, talent, and mission-driven companies.”
Senator Adam Ebbin remarked on Technomics’ growth: “I’m excited that a smart, innovative company like Technomics is expanding in Arlington,” highlighting their confidence in the community.
Delegate Adele McClure praised Arlington’s efforts: “With a significant investment of over $5 million…the company will now add 25,200 square feet of office space and create 248 new high-quality jobs.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership collaborated with Arlington County to secure this project. It will support job creation through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP), which offers consultative services and funding for employee recruitment and training activities. VJIP is state-funded as part of Virginia’s commitment to enhancing job opportunities.
Technomics currently employs around 300 professionals at its Arlington facility. The company also supports junior employees through its award-winning Professional Development Pathway program.
