WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, June 22, U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger will host an open, public telephone town hall focused on a range of issues facing Virginia’s families, communities, and economy. The virtual event will also be livestreamed via video on Spanberger’s congressional website and Facebook page.

Spanberger will take questions directly from Virginians across Virginia’s Seventh District, hear their concerns, and answer their questions. Additionally, the Congresswoman will update attendees about her continued work to prevent gun violence in communities across the Commonwealth, protect reproductive healthcare and abortion access in the year since the Dobbs decision, and lower prescription drug prices for Virginia seniors and families.

“Across the Seventh District, I hear from parents who are afraid to send their children to school, mothers and girls who fear the risks posed by a post-Roe country, and seniors who worry whether or not they will not be able to afford the lifesaving medication they need. These stories help me identify the priories of the people I serve — and help me figure out what I can do in Congress to assuage their fears” said Spanberger. “When thousands of Virginians get on the line to discuss the issues that matter most to them, it allows me to identify more ways to address the concerns of our neighbors. I look forward to many residents of the Seventh District joining Thursday’s conversation to share their concerns, feedback, and ideas as to how we can keep Virginia strong.”

WHO: U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger

WHEN: 7:30pm-8:30pm ET, Thursday, June 22, 2023

DETAILS: To join the interactive telephone town hall, Virginians should dial in to 833-380-0670. To watch the conversation live, Virginians can go to spanberger.house.gov/live or Spanberger’s Facebook page during the event.

Thursday’s event will be Spanberger’s 48th open, public town hall event. These events have focused on the issues facing Virginia families, Veterans, small businesses, students, seniors, and more. Click here to watch full recordings of previous events.
