Tim Rio’s Hood Blazers fall 32-1 to Johns Hopkins in Division III baseball matchup

The Hood Blazers, featuring former Unity Reed High School standout Tim Rio, suffered a 32-1 loss to the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in an NCAA Division III baseball game held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9.

Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium hosted the contest, marking the Blazers’ first game against the Blue Jays this season.

In his outing, Rio gave up 10 earned runs in one inning, walking four batters and striking out one.

The Blazers are set to play again Friday, March 13, at 3:30 p.m. against the Stevenson Mustangs at FCC Baseball Field.
