On February 14, 2026, the Prince William County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office hosted its 8th annual Valentine’s Day Bash at the Manassas Museum. Twenty-three couples participated in the event, exchanging vows in ceremonies organized by Circuit Court Clerk Jacqueline Smith.

The Mae Merchant Hall was decorated for the occasion, featuring a floral arch and a “kissing arch” for photos. Couples walked down the aisle with the Manassas cityscape visible through the museum windows. The event provided an alternative to traditional weddings and included opportunities for both first-time marriages and vow renewals.

“Throughout the day, couples exchanged vows in intimate ceremonies tailored to honor their unique love stories. Many exchanged vows for the first time, shared personal promises, and some renewed their commitment after more than 40 years of marriage, all surrounded by loved ones.”

Gifts and goody bags were given to participants with contributions from local businesses such as Crumbl Cookies and Dunkin’ Donuts. Other supporting businesses included Mark Summerson Photography, Flower Gallery of Manassas, Flowers with Passion, Ashby Jewelers, Foster’s Grille, Kerbobble Toys, Zandra’s Taqueria, Benny Capolago’s Pizza, Honey & Ivy Gluten Free, Manassas Olive Oil Company, Fillagreen, Aroma Wine Tasting Room, Tru by Hilton, Popcorn Monkey, The Bone Barbeque and Vigario Management.

“The celebration reimagined the traditional civil ceremony, offering an affordable option without sacrificing sentiment or style. Every element of the experience was designed to celebrate the couples in their own special way. Couples were celebrated with gifts and goody bags from generous local businesses, including ‘wedding cookies’ from Crumbl Cookies and heart-shaped treats from Dunkin’ Donuts. These small but meaningful touches reflected the romance of the event.”

According to organizers: “The Valentine’s Day Bash stood as a display of an inclusive, joyful celebration where every couple felt seen, supported and celebrated.”
