Police Basic Recruit School - Session 50 Graduates

The Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy Basic Law Enforcement 50th Session graduated on Friday, June 17, 2022, in a ceremony at Grace Life Community Church in Bristow (20136). This class was composed of 29 Prince William County Police officers. 

The 29 men and women completed a 24-week course of training in all aspects of police work, including classes in firearms, use-of-force decision making, driver training, legal training, patrol techniques, criminal investigation and crash investigation. The graduating law enforcement personnel are listed below, and brief biographies of each graduate follow:

Biographies of Basic Recruit School Session 50 Graduates:

Kevin J. Almonte is a graduate of the Dominican College of Blauvelt in Orangeburg, N.Y., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He has family in law enforcement and speaks Spanish. He worked for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration before joining the Department. Officer Almonte is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Alan M. Brown is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in strategic intelligence. He worked for the Virginia Department of Corrections prior to joining the Department. Officer Brown is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Michael A. Carrick is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law & society and a minor in intelligence analysis. Officer Carrick is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Andrew B. Chance attended Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, and studied homeland security. He served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of sergeant, prior to joining the Department. Officer Chance is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Junsuk Choi is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law & society. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of corporal, prior to joining the Department. He speaks Korean. Officer Choi is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Austin W. Delozier is a graduate of Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va. Officer Delozier is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Timotheos A. Diamantis is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law & society.  He worked for the Prince William – Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center prior to joining the Department. Officer Diamantis is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Jacob A. Dilley is a graduate of John Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas. He served in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of specialist prior to joining the Department. Officer Dilley is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Jacob A. Erickson is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Officer Erickson is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Michael M. Escano attended Triton College in River Grove, Ill. He served in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of E5 before joining the Department. He speaks Tagalog. Officer Escano is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Anthony E. Gallegos is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W. Va., with a bachelor’s degree in athletic coaching. Additionally, he was the Class Guide of the 50th Session. He speaks Spanish. Officer Gallegos is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Juston Houpt is a graduate of Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, with a bachelor’s degree in geography and international studies. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of sergeant before joining the Department. Additionally, he was the Class President of the 50th Session. He has family in law enforcement. Officer J. Houpt is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Jenna L. Hunter is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She speaks Spanish. Officer Hunter is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Wael M. Itani is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, with an associate degree in criminal justice and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. He speaks Spanish. Officer Itani is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Eric H. Marsh is a graduate of The College of New Jersey in Ewing, with a bachelor’s degree in criminology.  Officer Marsh is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Fernando R. Martinez Cruz is a graduate of Manassas Park High School in Virginia.  He worked for the Prince William – Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center prior to joining the Department. He speaks Spanish. Officer Martinez Cruz is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Corey A. McMurtry is a graduate of Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, N.J., with an associate degree in criminal justice. Additionally, he was the Class Vice President of the 50th Session. Officer McMurtry is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Salvador Orozco-Braley attends Purdue Global University in Lafayette, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of sergeant prior to joining the Department. Officer Orozco-Braley is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Ramon R. Reaves, Jr., is a graduate of Longwood University in Farmville, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Officer Reaves is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Miguel S. Reyes is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He speaks Spanish. Officer Reyes is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Dannyela N. Rivera Jiron is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law & society. She speaks Spanish. Officer Rivera Jiron is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Gary A. Schultz, III, is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas, with an associate degree in homeland security. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of corporal prior to joining the Department. Officer Schultz is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Namra Shahbaz is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, with an associate degree in social science. She speaks Urdu. Officer Shahbaz is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Michael F. Sweeney is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He has family in law enforcement. Officer Sweeney is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Sean B. Vance is a graduate of Christendom College in Front Royal, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in history. Officer Vance is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Peter Vang is a graduate of the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with an associate degree in clinical laboratory science. He served in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of sergeant prior to joining the Department. Officer Vang is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.

Austin M. Wagner is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a master’s degree in criminal justice and public administration. Officer Wagner is assigned to work patrol in central Prince William County.

Stephen M. Walters, II, is a home-schooled high school graduate and was a cadet with the Prince William County Police Department. Officer Walters is assigned to work patrol in western Prince William County.

Jack W. Wiederholt is a graduate of Pope John Paul the Great High School in Dumfries, Va. Officer Wiederholt is assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County.
