Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Program to Reopen at Landfill on Feb. 8

The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Electronics Recycling program at the Landfill will reopen for service on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Drop-off service will return to regular operating hours for all Prince William County residents on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekly.

Clean Harbors, a new hazardous waste specialty company, has been contracted to provide the service. Residents may bring up to three (3) electronic items for recycling per visit, and they may bring up to 15 gallons of liquid or 40 pounds of solid in the household hazardous waste category. Hazardous materials should be in the original labeled container. Residents are encouraged to have all items in the rear compartment of their vehicle for easy access by attendants.

There is no charge to county residents for this service. Hazardous waste and electronics are not accepted from commercial users, businesses or residents of the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.

More information about the Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling program and an A-to-Z Disposal Guide are available at www.pwcva.gov/trashandrecycling.
