Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason golf program is set to host the third annual Donald Ross Collegiate Classic March. 13-14 in Southern Pines, N.C.
The 18-team field will play a two-day tournament featuring three rounds at the par 72 Mid Pines Golf Club, the historic original Donald Ross course, in Southern Pines, NC.
As we celebrate Women's History month, the Patriots selected the venue that was owned by Peggy Kirk Bell from 1954-2016 when she passed at the age of 95. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and has been awarded almost every major honor in golf. The sister course Pine Needles Golf Club will be hosting its fourth US Women's Open in 2022.
Seton Hall is back to defend its 2022 Donald Ross Collegiate title. The Pirates took team honors with a 873 team score (+9), followed by Elon (877), and Richmond. Loyola (Md) finished fourth after winning the 2021 title.
